Skip Ewing

A native of California, Skip Ewing began gaining national attention in the mid-1980s, both as a songwriter and as a recording artist for MCA and Capitol Records. To date, over 250 of his songs have been recorded of which more than a dozen were #1's. His songs have contributed to the sale of more than 50 million albums with hits that include "You Had Me From Hello" for Kenny Chesney; "Love,Me" for Collin Raye; "Someone Else's Star" for Bryan White; "Wish You Were Here" for Mark Wills; and "Something That We Do" for Clint Black; his latest # 1 is Diamond Rio's "I Believe".

Among other artists who have recorded Ewing's songs are Willie Nelson, Andy Williams, Reba McEntire, Conway Twitty, Wynonna, Kenny Rogers, George Jones, Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood and George Strait. His work is also well represented in movies and on television with such credits as The Prince of Egypt, Deep Impact, Northern Exposure, David Letterman, and Oprah.
